UPDATED FAQs And SHIPPING ALERTS

  • Where is my tracking number?

    Direct Email: Tracking numbers are sent directly to the email address you used at checkout.

    Website Status: Note that our website will only show your order as "Processed." This means it has left our facility. All subsequent updates and location data must be viewed via the tracking link sent to your email.

    What we see: The tracking information you see on the carrier's website is the exact same information our staff sees. We do not have "hidden" tracking details.

  • My tracking says "Delivered," but I don't have it.

    Don't panic. Carriers often mark packages as "Delivered" 24 to 48 hours before they actually arrive.

    The 48-Hour Rule: Please wait two full business days. Most "missing" packages appear during this window.

    Check First: Check with neighbors, side doors, or your building manager.

    Next Steps: If it hasn’t arrived after 48 hours, please contact the carrier to open an inquiry.

  • Is my shipment safe?

    Fully Insured: Every high-value shipment is fully insured. In the rare event of a confirmed loss in transit, we handle the claims process to ensure you are made whole.

    Signature Required: For your protection, high-value orders require an Adult Signature upon delivery.

    Address Accuracy: We ship to the exact address provided at checkout. We are not responsible for shipments lost due to incorrectly entered addresses.

  • Important: Bank Dispute Protocols

    To ensure the security of every transaction and prevent "double loss," we must adhere to strict merchant banking protocols:

    Security Recall: If a bank dispute or chargeback is filed while a package is in transit, we reserve the right to initiate an immediate Security Recall with the carrier. We do not have a choice in this matter due to network cardholder protocols.

    Refunds: Once the recalled package is returned to our facility and inspected, a refund will be processed to the original account.

    Dispute Fees: In the event a dispute is filed and Benchmark Strategic Metals provides proof of delivery and/or a valid signature, all non-refundable merchant fees incurred by us will be re-charged to the buyer.


GENERAL QUESTIONS
Do you sell your products elsewhere?

Yes, you can find our products on our eBay auction page. A link is provided on the "Store Page"

Do you charge tax?

We charge 8% sales tax for orders shipping to New York State. Tax is not charged for orders shipping anywhere else.

Do I need to create an account to buy from you?

No, you don't need to create an account. You can order as a guest. We do encourage creating an account though. If you plan to order from us regularly, it could save a few steps during the checkout process. Plus, you will have access to your complete order history.

Do you have a minimum order amount?

No, we have no minimum order requirements.

SHIPPING QUESTIONS
Where do you ship, and do you ship internationally?

Yes, we may ship to other countries on a case-by-case basis depending on USPS/UPS/FedEx shipping policies, U.S. export law, and destination country import laws. If you live outside the U.S. and are uncertain you are eligible for shipment, please Contact Us to confirm. We will also gladly ship to APO/FPO addresses.

Where do you not ship?

We are currently unable to ship to P.O. boxes.

How long until my order ships?

Orders will ship no later than the next business day. Depending on when your order is placed, it may be shipped same day.

What shipping options do you offer?

We offer a variety of shipping options, including overnight and international.

How do I find the status of my order?

When your order ships, we will email you the carrier's tracking number. From there you can track the status of the shipment on its way to you.

Do you offer free shipping?

We are happy to offer free shipping on all orders of $100 or more.

Do you require a signature for order delivery?

For all orders $500 and over (not including shipping), we require a signature at time of delivery. For orders less than that, we do not require a signature.

ORDER QUESTIONS
How long will it take to get my order?

We process all orders quickly. Once processed, your order is handed over to one of our three primary carriers: FedEx, UPS, or USPS. While we cannot guarantee carrier transit times, we ensure your package is moved into the mail stream as efficiently as possible.

I made a mistake - can I cancel my order?

Yes, if you can get in touch with us before your order is shipped we will cancel it and issue a refund.

There was a problem with my order. How can I contact you?

What is your return policy?

We guarantee your satisfaction. If for whatever reason you are unsatisfied with your order, you may return it to us within 14 days of delivery for a complete refund. Please note: the returned product must be untampered with, and shipping costs are not refundable.
